Parenting Plans

The process

Parenting plans are one of the most powerful tools separated parents can use to protect their child’s wellbeing.

  • A parenting plan isn’t just a schedule. It’s a roadmap for how you will raise your child together — even when you’re no longer together.

  • What Makes Our Plans Different is our focus on a Child First Approach.

  • At Child First Co‑Parenting, we encourage parents to build plans that reflect:

    ✔ Emotional Safety

    ✔ Flexibility with Boundaries

    ✔ Age‑Appropriate Needs

  • ✔ Neutral, Respectful Language

    We Offer:

    • Printable templates

    • Step‑by‑step guides

    • Scripts for difficult conversations

    • Coaching for parents who need personalised support.

Our goal is simple: to help you build a plan that supports your child’s wellbeing and gives both parents clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

How Does Online Mediation Work?

Our sessions are designed to help to reduce conflict, improve communication, and create practical, workable agreements with both parties.

  • We contact each parent separately to gather information, we provide a safe environment for you both to share your concerns, goals, and what you both hope to achieve from the session. This ensures emotional safety and clarity before joint work begins.

  • Both parents then come together in a structured, neutral online space.

I will guide the conversation; this will keep things calm and respectful and helps you to explore options without blame or pressure.

  • Together, we work through the issues that matter most to you both— routines, communication, boundaries, decisions, or areas of conflict — always returning to what supports your child’s emotional wellbeing.

  • You will both leave with clear agreements or action steps you want to move forward with and understand.

Where helpful, these can be written up in a simple, easy‑to‑follow format and emailed to each party.

  • If required parents can return for check‑ins, adjustments, or support as their child’s needs evolve.

    Pre‑Mediation Requirements from both parents

A shared commitment - for your child.

A focus on the future rather than past conflict

Being open for agreements and change.

One-to-one coaching sessions

The process

  • We will get together for a 45-minute of online face-to-face coaching session.

  • We will meet and greet, where you can tell me your story and what’s happening for you. Together we will work out what is not currently working for you and what you would like to work on in your parenting journey.

  • The information you give about your situation will guide us to identify goals to promote positive changes moving forward.

  • Action planning will be the method we will use to agree on any steps that need to be taken for you to reach your goals. We will review the progress of the actions and goals in each following session.

  • Through these one-to-one sessions, I will teach you how to tap into a more conscious and connected parenting style.

  • I will help you to gain insight into your own emotional self-regulation which will support you in reducing potential triggers for frustrations and conflict.

  • You will learn how to be the parent you want to be who has the best interests of your child at the forefront. What I need from you

  • The mindset and motivation for changing yourself

  • To be open and honest

  • Be willing to learn for the best interest of your child.
