Frequently Asked Questions

What is Child First Co-parenting?

Child First Co‑Parenting is a coaching service designed to support parents who are struggling to co‑parent after separation — especially when communication feels impossible, emotions run high, or the relationship with an ex-partner has become high‑conflict. The focus is on helping parents develop calmer, more connected, child‑centered approaches to co‑parenting.

Who is this service for?

This space is for any parent who wants to improve their co‑parenting experience — whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, disconnected, or stuck in repeating patterns. This service shows you how to make changes even when your co-parent does not participate.

Many parents who come here are dealing with anger, irritability, exhaustion, or strained communication with their co‑parent. If you’re motivated for change and want to change your co-parenting to a lighter, calmer experience then you are in the right place.

What happens in a coaching session?

Coaching sessions are 60‑minute online, face‑to‑face conversations where you can share your historical and current situation.

Together, you and your coach identify what isn’t working, clarify your goals, and create an action plan to move forward.

Each session builds on the last, checking in and reviewing progress, strengthening your goals and ability to focus on responding consciously and with clear connection in order to move from unhealthy co-parenting towards balance.

What makes Child First Co-parenting different?

Child First Co-parenting approach is founded on the mindset that the power and capacity for change lies with the parent., even when the other co-parent is not engaging. The power for change sits with YOU, not your co-parent.

Add to this a founder with years of lived experience - from childhood to years of supporting people through complex life challenges this provides the knowledgebase to support the real change that happens for parents when their motivation comes from within.
